Friends are Forever! Not the Diamonds...
Yesterday, when I wasn't feeling that great and constantly thinking about the time that have passed by, in so many years what have I truly done for the self and society. In the race of time, we all went so busy with our boring studies, struggling jobs and passionate startups, that we have lost the relations that were once the core of human society and the very necessity of human existence i.e., the care and time for each other.
Immediately, I went out of my house for some fresh air and was wandering around, what I saw was more disturbing. People are busy with cellphone and smartphones to the limit that they don't notice or even care about what is happening to the nearby. The fabric of bond is lost and no one did realized that we are extremely adapted to such digital life. But why did it all happened, was it imposed on us or was it a choice that we made.
I think that it is the time we should start to value the relation and thank god for the wonderful people in our life. I am so grateful to almighty that he gave me so many good friends with whom I have so many great memories. I was lucky that I traveled all across INDIA during my professional life and stayed in some major cities. During those time I met a lot of different kind of people, some were totally different in their thoughts and perspective about life. Today whenever there is any way I can meet them, I do try to because you never know when this chapter of life ends and then we won't even have time to say GoodBye.
I always look for opportunity to meet them as and when I travel to those cities. I call them and try to meet in person to as many friends as possible. This somewhere fills the void in my inner self. I feel complete to be with friends as without them this journey wouldn't have been such a great one. Materialistic success and failure vanishes when we are with friends. It doesn't matter if you are a CEO of a company or a struggling theater actor trying for a big break, I have friends of all kind. I learned a lot from them and that's why I laugh at people who run after lavish lifestyle without caring for relations, whether friends or family. Remember, at end when you may have everything but if their are no friends you will leave this world with lot of regret. Go out, make friends and live your life. Be open to life lessons that these friends from different culture, states and countries teaches you.
Even if it is just sitting in silence and staring at a night sky on the roof of a rented apartment, fights over some very small matters and then supporting each other in front of others or trying to cook food as if you guys are the best chef in the world, I am sure you will never regret the quality time spent with good friends.
